The kids are signed up to begin swimming lessons tomorrow for two weeks. My kids have a hard time taking on new things like this. You may remember how long it took to get them both bicycle proficient. I don't expect any issues with Joshua during swim lessons, but Christianne has a fear of the water. Please pray for her especially to overcome her fear and learn this necessary potentially life-saving skill. Thanks for praying.

Interestingly, I learned last night that passing a basic swim skills test is a requirement for high school graduation here.
The kids had their first class today. Would you believe the very first thing they were asked to do was put their heads under? Chris didn't make it yet, but she's got a good attitude. Thanks for the prayers.
Christianne's confidence is improving every day. Today she made it about 96% under. Hopefully she'll master the "bob" by the time the class is over at the end of next week.
She did it! Christianne has accomplished the "bob," fully submerging her head underwater. She did it several times today. Her back stroke and back torpedo (glide) are beautiful - perfect and graceful. She has a lot of work to do on the front, but she's making progress every day. Three more classes. :)
